Get To Know Allison
Hi, I’m Allison! I’m a native Texan, third-generation Dallasite (a suburb girl, but a homegrown Dallasite nonetheless), and a master list maker. I’ve had a passion for organizing anything and everything for as long as I can remember. Whether it’s decluttering spaces, troubleshooting time management challenges, or developing functional systems, I love creating solutions that are both practical and visually appealing. Pair that with a hankering to help people, and that’s me in a nutshell.
In my previous career, I was a high school visual arts teacher, spending over 25 years in the classroom. I taught students how to make art as well as how to effectively streamline their workflow. I also organized a variety of classrooms for efficiency and functionality and supported fellow teachers with strategies for detailed systems and diverse learning. While I loved my time as a teacher, a few years ago I chose to step away from the classroom to focus on family before our son heads off to college. He’ll be launching into college life soon, which means now is the perfect time for me to get back to nourishing my blend of being a creative soul with a Type-A personality…leading me to the steps of Sorted Out®.
My role at Sorted Out® is primarily behind the scenes, such as assisting with scheduling, connecting with clients, helping with inventory, and supporting our organizers to give you the best experience possible. I love helping others, and I love being part of a resource dedicated to making others’ lives run seamlessly. While we may not interact directly, my goal is to ensure that our team has the support needed to deliver the solution you’re looking for.
At home, I’m surrounded by a wonderful husband of nearly 25 years, a very busy high school son, and the sweetest, friendliest goldendoodle you’ll ever meet. When I’m not ‘sorting out’, you’ll most likely find me running errands, spending time with my family, walking the trails in our neighborhood, dreaming up a new project, or enjoying time on a patio with friends.
