Get To Know Allison
Hi! I’m Allie and I have a unique background that blends corporate experience with deep personal insight to my work as a professional organizer.
A native New Yorker, I began my career as a manager in the textile and fashion industry before transitioning to a senior executive assistant. Over the years, I’ve supported CEOs and boards at global organizations like Ralph Lauren, McKinsey & Co., KKR & Co., Jarden Consumer Solutions, GardaWorld, and a nationally ranked Feeding America food bank.
It was through this career change I realized my true happiness comes from helping others. As an EA focused on structure and efficiency, I always found myself reorganizing supply closets and merchandise rooms and overhauling filing systems to make them user-friendly – for fun. I quickly became the go-to person for drafting SOPs, creating manuals, and planning events. I had found my joy, and it was just the beginning!
After relocating to Florida and navigating life as a divorced mom of special needs kids, I stepped away from the corporate world. Inspired to help others facing similar life transitions, I trained as a life coach and divorce mediator. With firsthand understanding, I now help clients through emotional and overwhelming tasks like decluttering, downsizing, and dividing up homes.
I’ve also managed numerous complex corporate and personal moves and renovations, including rebuilding our beach house after Hurricane Ian. It’s amazing how advance planning can make packing and unpacking easier, saving time and frustration, and I happily bring that expertise to every project.
With patience, reassurance and zero judgment, my goal for you is simplicity. We’ll talk through your challenges and needs and then transform your space to something functional, intuitive, and designed to support how you actually live. Imagine that!
Beyond organizing, I’m a published author with multiple contributions to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, a former magazine columnist and WNBC/ Palm Beach blogger. In my free time, I enjoy tennis, biking, baking, puzzling through the full suite of New York Times games – and the simple joy of just sitting down.
Now after my move to Dallas with my partner Alan, I’m excited to bring my skills and signature style to the Sorted Out® team.
